The first of the next generation Upwey Family BBQ was held on 18th July 2026 in the lakeside gardens of Eastbrook House.  The BBQ has been re-instated since it was last held in 2017. 

The BBQ was a huge success attended by approximately 250 people of all ages who appeared to thoroughly enjoy their day.  They were entertained to the end by Blair and the Bullets who played various sets until the final curtain at 11PM.    

A big thank you to the hosts Jan and Steve Shine (Chairman Upwey Society) and, to the many volunteers: organisers, set-up and take-down teams, the chefs, the food servers, raffle ticket team, entry hosts and children’s games team; no doubt there are others too.  Thank you.
